Print This Post- iii. Bathe or shower in luke-warm water. Hot water removes natural oil from the skin making it dry and itchy. Limit your showers to 10-15 minutes. After shower, dry yourself gently with a cotton towel.

- vi. If you need to scrub yourself at all, mix gram flour in warm milk and gently rub the mixture against the skin. You can also add a pinch of turmeric and lemon juice to the mixture.
- vii. The skin of the feet tends to dry and crack more in the winters. Treating it with a relaxing soak of warm water at night not only keeps the feet looking good but also facilitates a sound sleep.
- viii. Above all, most importantly, consume a wholesome and nutritious diet. It should include moderate amounts of milk, butter and cheese and plenty of fresh fruits vegetables, wholegrains, sprouts, nuts and seeds.

Take a banana in a bowl and mash it. You can apply this mixture on your face and hands and leave on for about 15 minutes for soft and supple skin. The same works with tomatoes.
- i. Take a bowl of yoghurt, add to it some turmeric or oatmeal, and use it as a mild scrub on your skin after a hard day’s work.
- ii. Applying mashed papaya and washing it off with cold water after ten minutes will also leave your skin glowing.
- iii. Cucumber has always had a cooling effect on the eyes, but put a layer of fresh grated cucumber on your skin to feel fresh instantly. It acts as a toner.
- iv. Splashing lots of cold water on your face once a day, especially at the end of the day has an amazingly cooling effect.
- v. To stop the itch and burn, mix a bit of dry oatmeal and cool water. Make it slightly slushier than if you were going to eat it, and spread the mixture carefully on your sunburned skin. This will relieve the pain and help reduce swelling.
