8. Dr. S.S. Goindi along with his wife settled in Chandigarh where he was Director of Gandhi Samarak Bhawan in Sector 16 from 1986 to 1998. Here Dr. S.S. Goindi and his wife Dr. G.K. Goindi adopted Nature Cure as a vehicle of service to the sick and launched “Health and Nutrition Mission” which is still ongoing. This Mission is to practically evolve cheap and nutritious foods of acceptable taste for the suffering people in general and for the under-privileged and poor sections of society in particular.

9. Dr. S.S. Goindi has contributed articles on Naturo-Food Therapy in Swasthya Jivan published from Raj Ghat, New Delhi. He wrote a book, “Swasthya Ke Sambandh Mein Hamare Lekh,” with Dr. (Mrs.) Goindi as           co-author, describing many of the difficult cases dealt with the unique innovative Naturo-Food Therapy.

10.  Since 1971 Dr. S.S. Goindi and his wife Gurkirpal Kaur Goindi have been intensively involved in the field of health and nutrition based on the principles of natural dietetics. It all started when Mrs. Goindi was taken severally ill because of osteo-arthritis, asthma, anemia and digestive disorders that led to bleeding lungs and general debility. Doctors had pronounced that Mrs. Goindi would not live beyond 4/5 days.

11. Instead of spending the last days in the hospital. Mrs. Goindi decided to stay at home and it was then in 1971 that the burning desire to see her recover from her many irreversible ailments made Dr. S.S. Goindi apply natural laws of nutrition on her. She came back from the very doorstep of death and was on the road to recovery within 12 days to become an eminent naturo-food therapist herself. And thanks to her training in physical education, she became the author of a set of remedial exercises even for bed-ridden patients.

Goindis Naturo-Food Therapy

12. Goindis couple Dr. S.S. Goindi and Dr. (Mrs.) G.K. Goindi are a unique team of dedicated votaries of nature-cure and have devised an alternative human dietary based on the twin attributes of man’s original diet namely easy digestibility and good taste. Taste, they say is important attribute of food which triggers the digestive glands to secrete digestive juices, which in turn must get easily digestible food for making good blood fortified with natural resistance power. Thus begins the cycle for good health.

Good Natural Diet–> Blood with Natural Resistance Power–>    Good Healthy Life

13. Goindis couple believe that good food makes good blood and bad food makes bad blood which is the root cause of all the diseases suffered by ever increasing numbers of human beings worldwide. The basic principle of Naturo-Food Therapy is to replace the bad blood with good. This Therapy consists of treatment with a natural vegetarian diet (sometimes mono-diet to start with for a few days), of fruits/vegetables and simple preparations from germinated cereals and grains which are not only tasteful, nutritious and easy to digest but also have medicinal and health values. The new purified blood: –

a. increases the body’s resistance to infection;

b. strengthens the ability of the body to overcome virtually all kinds of ailments; and additionally.

c. slows down the ageing process through the consumption of nucleic acid contained in germinated cereals and grains.
