2008/21 – Ashok Dhawan (DOB-05-05-1959) : I am an electronic dealer and live in Ludhiana, Punjab. I am 5’-7’½ tall and was about 80 kg which was a concern to me. Moreover, I was a borderline case of diabetes and raised blood pressure, my stools were sticky with mucus and my feet felt warm. But I was against taking any medications which often have harmful side-effects.

I met Santokh Singh Parmar along with my family on 14-12-2008 in his clinic in the Gurdwara at Mohali, Punjab. He asked me a number of questions about my health and my dietary and lifestyle habits. Mr. Parmar advised me to drink warm water with lemon juice on waking and eat seasonal fruits for six days every 2-2 ½  hours and drink water in between. Then I was progressively allowed to eat sprouts, steamed vegetables, nuts/seeds and conservatively cooked home food with very little salt and oil/fat. I met Mr. Parmar only a couple of times but was in touch with him regularly on the telephone for two months.

On my last visit to Mr. Parmar on 14-02-2009, my weight was 69 kg (a drop of 11kg). I had an executive check up of my body which showed that my diabetes and blood pressure were under control and my overall health was fine.
